OFFICIAL RULES:
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY: To enter, entrants must submit their name, address, phone number, e-mail address and recipe in writing to "Más Melinda’s Recipe Contest" 922 Industry Road, Kenner, LA 70062 or go to www.melindas.com for an entry form. Please do not send in an actual sample of the recipe. All entries must be received no later than 11:59 CST on January 24, 2002, when the contest ends.

PRIZE AND ODDS: The following grand prize will be awarded: Round trip airfare for two (2) within the continental United States to Albuquerque, New Mexico for the Fiery Foods Trade show on March 1-3, 2002, and hotel accommodations in Albuquerque for 2 nights. Winner also receives $1000 in spending money. Flight and hotel subject to availability. Tickets issued by the airlines will bear the date of issue and the date of expiration. Expiration dates will not be extended, and tickets will not be refundable or redeemable for cash or credit at any time, nor will tickets be replaced if lost or stolen. Top ten winners of contest will win a "Melinda’s Supply Kit" that will include one of each type of Melinda’s products, Melinda’s t-shirt and other Melinda’s promotional items. Winners must be 18 years or older and legal US resident. Tickets cannot be sold to a third party. If the prize becomes unavailable, Melinda’s may award a substitute of equal or greater value.

2. PARTICIPATION: Contest begins November 5, 2001, and is open to legal U.S. residents, void in Puerto Rico. Chance of winning is based on number of entrants. Taxes are responsibility of winner. Participants must be at least 18 years of age to enter as of October 1, 2001. Employees and immediate relatives of Figueroa Brothers/Melinda’s and anyone involved in this promotion's production, development or handling are not eligible to enter. Acceptance of prize constitutes consent to use winner's recipe, name and likeness for editorial, advertising, publicity purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law. Subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.

3. SELECTION OF WINNERS/VALIDATION: Winners will be selected on or about January 31, 2002, by David and Greg Figueroa of Figueroa Brothers, Inc., whose decisions on all aspects of the sweepstakes are final. Entrants may enter the contest with as many different recipes as they wish. All decisions of the judges are final on all aspects of the contest. By taking part in this contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and all decisions. The winner will be notified by telephone, e-mail or mail. The winner will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and winner and travel companion a Liability/Publicity Release, which must be returned within 7 days of notification or an alternate winner may be chosen. Entries, which are lost, late, misdirected, garbled, or incompletely received, for any reason, including by reason of hardware, software, browser, or network failure, malfunction, congestion, or incompatibility at sponsor or elsewhere, will not be eligible. All submissions become the property of Figueroa Brothers, Inc. and will not be acknowledged or returned.
